The UN Assistant Secretary-General (ASG) for Rule of Law and Security Institutions Alexandre Zouev visited the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) from 5-7 August 2018. He was welcomed in by UNISFA officials, of which the UNMAS Programme Manager was part of.
During his visit, ASG Zuev personally met and commend a local hero, Amira, for her bravery and her knowledge of safety guidelines that recently saved her and her friends’ lives from an exploding hand grenade. He presented Amira with gifts from UNMAS and local NGO, Global Aid Hand.
