Mr Hervé Ladsous, the Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, and Ms. Marie-Noelle Koara, the Minister of Defence of the Central African Republic, inaugurated the construction of the Camp Kassai Central Armoury in Bangui at the end of April.
The new armoury will hold more than a 1,000 weapons and will be completed in coming months.

The inauguration represented one of the events in which Mr. Ladsous participated during his visit to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
